打針有咩風險

@arthur-irving 在 打針有咩風險 中說:
At this moment in Hong Kong, seems there is no necessity to get vaccinated. Despite of the risks of SinoVac, the efficiency rate of it is low and there is no reason to choose this. BioNTech Vaccine offers a better protection but it is making use of the new mRNA technology and we are yet to know the long term adverse effect on human. Let’s keep in view.
I cannot agree your view.
Are you implying HK government should import more tourists, resulting in more infections cases and HK people are consequently willing to get vaccinated?
Do you suggest not to allow tourists in HK anymore? You should be aware HK is highly dependent on tourists for HK economy. If no such income, should HK govt increase tax or reduce spending, e.g., free education?
When you see US had over 65% US citizens get 1 dose, why should we still wait and see?
Come on, as a citizen, act citizen duties!

@snow-fung Are you sure Hong Kong is relying on the tourists? Tourism is actually contributing less than 5% of GDP of Hong Kong. Trading, logistics and financial services are already contributing two-fifths of the GDP. Tourism actually does not have significant impact on the government tax income.
Yes you are right, it is our duties to get vaccinated to fight for the epidemic. But at the same time, we also need to take different factors into account and balance the risks. I think eventually all people should get vaccinated but I mean at the present, we are still not so familiar with the adverse effects of the vaccines.
Lucikly, the situation of the epidemic is relieved recently in Hong Kong. That why I said we can keep in view. If there is an community outbreak again, it will be the time to get vaccinated in my view.

If no 70% people get vaccinated, HK cannot connect with other countries. It will absolutely adversely affect HK economy. You can see all other western countries encouraging their citizens to get vaccinated, now US and UK are over 60%.
Why we still delay ourselves (HK now 28.5%)?
